Bats Fail for Lake Monsters in 6-1 Loss
|
Syracuse turned a good effort from starter Roger Marshall into a win over the Vermont Lake Monsters at Monster Field. The final score was 6-1. The Squirrel Monkeys have an impressive 64-35 record.
The Squirrel Monkeys liked what they saw from Marshall. The 22-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Lake Monsters to 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 5.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Marshall, "and then get after it again."
