Starks Win at Athletic Club KC, 6-3

Syracuse pitcher Geoffrey Da Costa did his part in helping his team beat the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 6-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Getting the save was Mario Méndez, his 9th. Syracuse now sits in 5th place in the Premier AAA at 15-17.
It could have been a different outcome for Syracuse, had it not been for Matt Dunham, the 26-year old center fielder . Dunham contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Syracuse up, 4-0.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Dunham.
