Plymouth and Syracuse got after it at Stark Stadium.

Plymouth starter Arturo Gutiérrez put a stranglehold on the Syracuse offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Rocks to a 4-1 win. Plymouth, now 13-16, holds down 6th place in the Premier AAA.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Scott Willis? The Plymouth right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rocks on top, 3-0. For the game, Willis had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"No time for flexing," said Gutiérrez. "It's always one game at a time."
