A 3-RBI performance from Takenao Taniguchi, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA with a .397 on-base percentage, helped the Florida Men beat the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 11-5. The save went to Chris Evans, number 2 for him. Florida is now 37-49, Hamilton 48-38.

Florida center fielder Matt Banks contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a changeup into left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 1st hit of the season and put the Men ahead, 7-4.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Taniguchi.
