Thunderbirds Win at Port Royal, 8-0
|
No one was more impactful than Fabian Ferris in the 8-0 Hamilton win over Port Royal. Ferris went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Sixto Reyes came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. Hamilton, at 47-36, holds down 4th place in the Menard's AAA.
Hamilton used a well-timed hit by Donnie Reese to capture the win. The shortstop socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
Port Royal manager Mike Nyberg said his team was "out of sync."
