Lake Monsters Suffer 6-4 Loss to Black Mambas
|
The Austin Black Mambas topped the Vermont Lake Monsters, 6-4, in M3L Triple A action at Mamba Park. The standout performance belonged to Austin pitcher and Luchou, Taiwan, native Lee tai hoi Chen. Chen got the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Chen allowed 4 runs. The save went to Eric Ramírez, number 24 for him.
Early in the game, second baseman Dai-lin Yen had a grand slam home run for Austin. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Black Mambas on top, 5-1.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Yen said after the game.
The Black Mambas move to 47-34 with the win, while the Lake Monsters drop to 30-51.
