Fighting Dachshunds Beat Thunderbirds, 4-2
|
Ellenburg starter Etana Nara pitched well against the Hamilton Thunderbirds at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Anastasio Ayala got credit for the win, improving to 2-6. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. Ellenburg bumps their record to 33-45 with the win.
Helping the Ellenburg cause was Daniel Webster. In the bottom of the sixth, the top prospect had a run-scoring sacrifice fly to make the score 4-2, Fighting Dachshunds.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Webster told the Ellenburg News. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
