5-1 Golden Cranes Win over Disaster Evens Season Record
|
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes beat the Port Royal Disaster, 5-1. Santa Barbara pitcher and Mauldin, South Carolina, native Jeffrey Wilson led the way. Wilson, now 3-4, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 8, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. Santa Barbara now has a record of 39-39 with the win.
Raúl Miranda had an important at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season put Santa Barbara on top, 3-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Miranda. "And not try to do too much."
