|
Starting pitcher Hong-bin Hark pitched well enough to help the Hamilton Thunderbirds beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 4-3. Steve MacDougal nailed down his 4th save. The Thunderbirds sit in second place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 45-32.
Hamilton used a well-timed hit by Victor Porter to capture the win. The left fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Porter.
