Quiñones Delivers Walk-Off Win for Lake Monsters
The Vermont Lake Monsters took Jersey City pitcher Charles Lawrence's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Monster Field. The final score had Vermont getting past the Tritons, 5-4. Lawrence went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 4. Vermont reliever Ed Walters picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Nathan Sims absorbed the loss. Vermont now owns a record of 29-46.

The Lake Monsters were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when catcher Robinson Quiñones turned a full count changeup from Nathan Sims into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Monster Field denizens and sent the Lake Monsters home with a thrilling 5-4 win.

"This place was electric at the end," Quiñones said.
