Hot Chickens Squelch Thunderbirds Offense in Shutout Win
Starting pitcher Robert Carlson was a major factor in the 3-0 Nashville Hot Chickens triumph over the Hamilton Thunderbirds. With the win, Nashville upped its record to 37-36.

Francisco Rodríguez had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Nashville. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Nashville in front, 2-0.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Rodríguez told the Nashville Daily News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
