In a low-scoring affair between the Pennsauken Flyers and the Syracuse Starks, pitcher Perry Cox was the difference between victory and defeat. The Pennsauken left-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Flyers win. Jordan Murdoch closed the door for Pennsauken, picking up his 1st save of the year. Today's win puts Pennsauken at 9-12, while Syracuse falls to 10-11.
Martin Jones helped out the Pennsauken cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the catcher was 2-4 with a double.
"Runs were at a premium," said Pennsauken manager Culley Adjeng.
