8-7 Loss Deepens Baton Rouge Funk
|
The Bakersfield Nobles beat the Baton Rouge Brass by a score of 8-7. Bakersfield left fielder Kel Jones deserved the lion's share of the credit. Jones was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Nobles. Juan Sánchez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-0. José Zamora earned the save for Bakersfield, his 2nd of the year.
