Thunderbirds Snag 6-4 Win
|
Hamilton Thunderbirds starter Raúl Martínez was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Jersey City Tritons, 6-4. Ethan Morse came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-2. Hamilton is in third place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 38-26.
Hamilton relied on the bat of Ray Sloan to get the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 5-4. For the game, Sloan had 1 double and 1 triple in 5 at-bats.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Martínez said (again).
