The Vermont Lake Monsters topped the Port Royal Disaster, 5-4, in M3L Triple A action at Monster Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Vermont pitcher Chad Edwards. Lu Tan collected his 3rd save. Vermont has a record of 22-38, placing them last in the Menard's AAA.

The Lake Monsters benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the sixth. With Dave Enrick at bat and Vermont leading 4-3, the Port Royal miscue allowed Vermont to plate 1 and take the lead, 5-3.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Vermont skipper António García. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
