Dog Park in Ellenburg was the site for M3L Triple A action featuring the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys and Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds.
Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds starter Etana Nara was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 6-3. Michael Kilshaw recorded the save, his 1st.
In the bottom of the second, Ellenburg right fielder Ron Tagwerker had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Tagwerker stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Ellenburg. For the game, he went 1-4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We had a good game plan," Nara said, "and we were able to execute it."
Ellenburg is in 11th place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 22-32.
