The Austin Black Mambas faced a tough opponent in Port Royal pitcher Miguel Aguirre, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Port Royal by a final score of 4-1. Aguirre went 7.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. Austin now sits in 4th place in the Menard's AAA at 20-16.

Leon Burns had a big solo home run for the Black Mambas in the top of the fourth inning. With Austin leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a cutter from Miguel Aguirre and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Black Mambas ahead, 2-0.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Burns. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
