Pride Get 7-4 Win Versus Plymouth
|
The Hartford Pride took Plymouth pitcher Josh Sargent's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Pride Park. The final score had Hartford getting past the Rocks, 7-4. Sargent went 6.2 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 6. Wessel de Best, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 2-0. The victory makes Hartford 4-6.
Mario Rodríguez hit a run-scoring double off Natalino Gasco in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Pride in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Rodríguez had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
