The Port Royal Disaster got a superb performance from pitcher Vince Barnard. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Hamilton. The Thunderbirds won the game, 4-0. Barnard threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The winner was Hamilton reliever Steve MacDougal, now 2-0. The loser was Vince Barnard. Hamilton now sits in first place in the Menard's AAA at 23-10.
With one out in the bottom of the third, Victor Porter put Hamilton in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Thunderbirds went on to win the ballgame.
"Winning is the only objective," said Porter after the game.
