ParksNRec Squelch Flyers Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Pawnee ParksNRec trumped the Pennsauken Flyers, 3-0, at Whips Ballpark. Pawnee first baseman Irwin Taylor was terrific. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The save went to Dawson Adams, his 4th this season. The win puts Pawnee at 6-4.
Pawnee took a 3-0 lead on Taylor's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Remie den Braber in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Pawnee to the win.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Pennsauken skipper Culley Adjeng, "and it cost us."
