Hot Chickens Take Tight Tilt
|
Chris Curry helped his team muscle past the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-3. In the game, the Nashville shortstop went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Robert Carlson got the win, improving to 2-4. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Hugh Mann earned the save for Nashville, his 6th of the year.
Curry contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Nashville get the win.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Salt Lake City manager Sherwood Baker.
The Hot Chickens, at 14-17, sit in 8th place in the Menard's AAA.
