Chin-yau Tu never let the Black Mambas get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Golden Cranes to a win, 4-1. Jon Phillips collected his 1st save. The Golden Cranes, at 10-16, sit in 11th place in the Menard's AAA.

Santa Barbara catcher Weiner Blau contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a sinker into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Golden Cranes ahead, 3-1.

"I really like what we did out there today," Blau said after the game.
