The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys extended their winning streak.

The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys defeated the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 6-4, in M3L Triple A action at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. Syracuse pitcher Steve Gourin had a standout performance. Syracuse has now won 6 straight.

Syracuse used a well-timed hit by Ángel González to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Squirrel Monkeys ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Gourin told the Syracuse Daily.
