Syracuse Rallies Past Santa Barbara, 5-2
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes.

The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys topped the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 5-2, in M3L Triple A action at The Zoo in Syracuse. The standout performance belonged to Syracuse pitcher and Los Angeles, California, native Hunter Kirkland. Kirkland, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. Dave Green earned the save, his 3rd, for the Squirrel Monkeys.

Syracuse took a 5-2 lead on Shoraku Ito's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Santa Barbara pitcher Cisco Morales in the bottom of the eighth.

"The vibe's good," said Syracuse manager Scott Garrison. "We've got to keep it going."

Syracuse is now 12-8.
