Thunderbirds Shut Out Buzz, 5-0
|
Behind an impressive start by Sixto Reyes, Hamilton beat Salt Lake City, 5-0. The winning pitcher was Reyes, now 2-0. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. The Thunderbirds, now 15-4, have been red hot.
Lorenzo Morales had a big run-scoring double for the Thunderbirds in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Hamilton leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Elroy Mastenbroek and swatted a double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thunderbirds ahead, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Reyes told the Hamilton Times.
