Rose, Ellenburg Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
In a tight game between the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds and the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, pitcher Quincy Rose was terrific on the mound. The Ellenburg right-hander helped his team to the 1-0 win. Mal Edwards locked down his 2nd save. With the loss, Santa Barbara is 5-9.
Rose earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Ellenburg. The native of Pickerington, Ohio, allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 7. Santa Barbara hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"We did just enough to win," Rose said.
