The Syracuse Starks beat the Hartford Pride, 2-1, at Stark Stadium. Starting pitcher Millard Clement was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The loss puts Hartford at 1-3.

Iverson Allen, who is rated as the 61st best prospect by BNN, helped out the Syracuse cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3 with a walk.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Allen told the Syracuse News.
