6-5 Loss Deepens Hialeah Funk
|
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Tom Rollins, the Hamilton Thunderbirds defeated the Hialeah Dodos, 6-5. Rollins went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Thunderbirds. Ethan Morse recorded the save for Hamilton, his 4th of the season. The win puts Hamilton at 9-2.
Hamilton took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bill Martin hit a run-scoring single to make it 6-5, Thunderbirds.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Hialeah skipper Billy Strauss.
