In a low-scoring affair between the Port Royal Disaster and the Salt Lake City Buzz, pitcher Jeremiah Cole was the difference between victory and defeat. The Port Royal right-hander earned accolades in the 2-0 Disaster win. Cory Fisher earned the save, his 2nd. The Disaster have hit the ground running, raising their record to 7-3. While it's still too soon to talk about Port Royal hoisting their 3rd 3L AAA Championship trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.
Richard Carter, the Port Royal pinch hitter, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning to make the score 1-0, Disaster. For the game, Carter was 1 for 1.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Carter.
