Disaster Prevail, 3-2, Over Hialeah
|
The Port Royal Disaster eked out a 3-2 win versus the Hialeah Dodos at Ballpark of Port Royal. Nobody did more than pitcher Vince Barnard. He was terrific. In 6 innings, Barnard surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Robert Brewer earned the save, his 3rd.
Kane Tucker, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2046 draft, chipped in for Port Royal with a solo home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Hialeah manager Billy Strauss.
Hialeah falls to 4-5.
