The Toledo Stingers stopped the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 9-8, behind an impressive performance from Andrew Smith. The 27-year old left fielder made life miserable for Thunder Bay pitching. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Mark Cunningham picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Danny Dillard was tagged with the loss. The Stingers now have a mark of 16-20.

Toledo relied on the hitting of Erwan Michel to pick up the win. The shortstop ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the second inning to put the Stingers on top, 4-0. For the game, Michel had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
