The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC topped the Toledo Stingers, 3-0, in Menard's Third League action at Pacesetter Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Thunder Bay pitcher Jesús Ramírez. Ramírez got the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Ramírez allowed no runs. Getting the save was Jami Jokinen, his 2nd.

The game could have flipped with one out in the bottom of the third. But Jesús Ramírez made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With runners on 1st and 2nd and Toledo trailing 2-0, Ramírez threw a changeup to Lester Threlfall and Threlfall flied out.
