Ramírez Twirls a Gem for Thunder Bay
|
Jesús Ramírez was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Thunder Bay and Charleston. The Northern Lions BC left-hander helped his team beat the Battery, 2-1. Getting the save was Wulf Hinkamp, his 2nd. The last-place Northern Lions BC lifted their record to 9-18.
Ramírez imposed his will on the Battery, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings while striking out 10. The left-hander upped his season record to 4-1.
"Both teams played hard," said Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams.
