Dirty Reds Need Extra Frames to Get Past Stingers
|
The Dayton Dirty Reds topped the Toledo Stingers, 3-2, in Menard's Third League action at Lang Park. The standout performance belonged to Dayton pitcher and Santa Fe Springs, California, native Victor Jones. The Stingers fall to 5-11.
The Dirty Reds procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Elliot Banks. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Jones.
