Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Flamingos
|
The Nova Scotia Leviathan got a superb performance from pitcher Ben Frazier, but the Las Vegas Flamingos still won the game, 4-3. Frazier threw 8.0 innings of 1-hit ball. Las Vegas reliever Jon Phillips picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Shinsui Kawaguchi shouldered the loss. The loss drops the Leviathan to 5-8.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Las Vegas first baseman Ben Carmody, facing Shinsui Kawaguchi, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Flamingos the 4-3 win.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Carmody said.
