Fans watched the Oakland Oaks and the Cape Coral Hurricanes fight to the finish.

Cape Coral got a big-time effort from pitcher Juan Rodríguez, but it wasn't enough to keep the Oakland Oaks from winning the game, 5-4. Rodríguez threw 8.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Sanya Matlah picked up the save for Oakland, his 10th of the year.

Oakland used the clutch hitting of Nicholas Wilhelms to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Oaks the lead, 4-2. For the game, Wilhelms had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Wilhelms. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."

Oakland, at 51-48, sits in 6th place in the Silver League.
