Battery Orozco Lost for Year Wednesday, June 9th , 2055 The doctors have spoken and Luis Orozco of the MSL Charleston Battery didn't like what he heard. The 16-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Orozco sustained his season-ending injury during the MSL Santa Catalina Condor game yesterday at MSL Santa Catalina Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the MSL Charleston medical staff reported Orozco had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months. This year Orozco has made 7 relief appearances with no saves. In 14.1 innings, he has fanned 24 hitters and recorded 1 win and no losses with a 1.26 ERA. |
