Davis Selected SMSL's Top Pitcher Friday, September 17th , 2055 The hottest hurler in the USSL Mexican Summer League this season was Tanner Davis of the MSL Oakland Oaks. He caught the attention of everybody in the league on his way to winning the 2055 SMSL Pitcher of the Year Award. Davis starred with an impressive 10-4 record in 16 starts. The Oaks ace gave up 59 base hits and struck out 123 in 104.2 innings with a 1.63 ERA. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Domingo Velasco of the MSL Toledo Stingers finished second in voting, while Victor van Lint of the MSL Detroit Elite finished third.
