Kingfishers Shane Veeck Wins SMSL Award Monday, August 30th , 2055 Shane Veeck went on a week-long tirade against the USSL Mexican Summer League pitchers and was acclaimed the Player of the Week. The MSL Pittsburgh first baseman was hot as a firecracker, exploding with a .625 average, 2 home runs and 3 RBIs. For the week Veeck bashed out 5 hits in 8 at-bats and scored 2 runs. Presently Veeck is hitting .298 with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs. He has played in 29 games and scored 6 times. |
