League Suspends MSL Boston 3B Martínez Wednesday, July 14th , 2055 The league commissioner has zero tolerance when it comes to touching an umpire. That's the reason Javier Martínez of the Patriots has been given a 2-game suspension. He apparently made too much contact with the home plate umpire while intensely questioning a called strike in a recent game at MSL Montana Ballpark with the MSL Montana Pandas. Martínez said he would not appeal and would serve his suspension beginning today. In this current campaign Martínez is hitting at a .170 clip with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs. |
