USPL Mexican Summer League Selects Best Performer Monday, July 27th , 2054 A hot-hitting week got Lao-che Zhu the USPL Mexican Summer League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The MSL Vancouver shortstop slammed them for a .500 average, 5 hits in 10 at-bats, 1 home run, 3 RBIs and scored 4 runs. In the postgame press conference, Zhu shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." Zhu has collected 29 hits for the Grey Wolves this year, 8 of them home runs. He has also netted 13 RBIs and scored 19 runs while batting .230. |
