John McGuire Wins 3A- Trophy Monday, August 9th , 2055 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Moose Jaw first baseman John McGuire. He went on a rampage last week against 3A- hurlers and rapped out 9 hits in 19 at-bats for a .474 average while hitting 3 home runs, driving in 4 runs and scoring 4 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the M3L Low A Player of the Week trophy. McGuire was honored today at a press conference. So far this season, McGuire has recorded a .297 batting average with 70 hits, 13 home runs, 36 RBIs, 33 runs scored and a .378 OBP. |
