League Issues Cooper 2-Game Suspension Monday, July 5th , 2055 "Deplorable conduct will not be tolerated in this league, especially if it is directed toward our umpires." That was the gist of the league commissioner's notification letter to the North Ft. Myers Gators organization advising them that right fielder Jason Cooper had been suspended for 2 games for his heated confrontation with the home plate umpire in yesterday's game with Moose Jaw. He became furious over a called third strike. Cooper is hitting .163 in 2055 with 17 RBIs and 5 home runs. |
