Downey Goes Cycling Tuesday, July 13th , 2055 Hudsonville Flanderses right fielder Jerry Downey had one of the best days of his career today when he hit for the cycle and paved the way for the Flanderses 8-7 win over the Beaumont Crossbeaus at Hudsonville Park. "Everything was just clicking today," he said. Downey shelled the Crossbeaus for 4 hits in 5 at-bats, collected 2 runs batted in and scored 3 runs. Jerry Downey doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Carl Tregellas in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
