Big Bat Pays Off, Turner Player of the Week Monday, June 28th , 2055 His teammates, fans, peers and even the BNN sportswriters all agreed that Ron Turner was worthy of the USPL Low A Player of the Week Award. During the week the Amarillo left fielder compiled a .393 batting average (11-for-28) with 3 home runs, 11 runs batted in and scored 6 runs. For the season Turner has produced 44 hits in 173 at-bats for a .254 average with 11 home runs and gotten on base at a .340 clip. |
