St. Petersburg Loses Jon Stewart, Will Miss Season Friday, July 9th , 2055 Jon Stewart of the Thunder just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old St. Petersburg second baseman received a possible season-ending injury against the Billings Polar Bears recently at The Igloo. Stewart suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament while running the bases. The Thunder medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 9-10 months. During the current season Stewart is batting at a .292 clip with 1 home run and 8 RBIs. He has played in 35 games and scored 21 times. |
