USSL Double A Names Welch Best Batter Monday, August 2nd , 2055 26-year-old shortstop Craig Welch of the Ottawa Fat Cats is the talk of the USSL Double A for putting on a torrid hitting display last week and claiming the Player of the Week Award. Welch rapped out a sensational .412 batting average with 7 hits in 17 at-bats, 4 home runs and 7 RBIs. For the year Welch has hit at a .231 clip with 22 RBIs, 7 home runs and 24 runs scored. |
