Blues Ordóñez to Miss Year Friday, July 2nd , 2055 The doctors have spoken and Gonzalo Ordóñez of the Barton Springs Blues didn't like what he heard. The 27-year-old third baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ordóñez sustained his season-ending injury during the Lake Murray MotorBoaters game yesterday at Heron Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Barton Springs medical staff reported Ordóñez had a broken bone in the elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months. So far in 2055 Ordóñez is batting .231 with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 108 at-bats and a .288 OBP. |
