Canova Will Sit Out 2 Games, Suspended by League Saturday, September 25th , 2055 Celestino Canova is not exactly engendering good will with the men in blue these days. At least that was the case yesterday at the Thunder Bay-Hollywood game. He became highly abusive when he was called out on strikes. That behavior was unacceptable to league disciplinary officials and they notified the Northern Lions BC first baseman that he had been suspended for 2 games. Canova is swinging at a .237 pace on the year with 17 home runs, 62 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has played in 107 games. |
