Ortíz and Richardson Suspended, Out 4 Games Wednesday, May 19th , 2055 During a recent Athletic Club KC-Grand Forks game at ACKC Youth Field, Marcos Ortíz of the U-24 and Micheal Richardson of the Caterpillars got into an altercation on the field and had to be separated from each other as the benches emptied. Both players knew they would have to face the music and today the league commissioner's office announced their punishments. They have been given 4-game suspensions because of their actions. Thus far this year Ortíz is batting .200 with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Richardson has made 6 relief appearances this year and notched no saves. To date in 9.2 innings he has a 0-0 record, 3.72 ERA with 16 strikeouts and 4 walks. |
